Archaeologists working on Hadrian’s wall have long been stumped about where the stables for the horses were located. Excavations at Segedunum have finally solved the mystery. Deep pits under the barracks floor were found for the horses waste. The horses were kept with the men in the barracks. Three horses and three troopers to each room.
